  7.     Atlanta, which was euphoric over its selection as the site
  8. of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, is suffering some early
  9. dissension with disturbing racial undertones. The organizing
  10. committee's scheme to build a water-polo pool and a
  11. field-hockey stadium on the campus of all-black Atlanta
  12. University has been frowned on by some members of the Action
  13. Forum, a group of black civic leaders. They call the plans
  14. "totally unacceptable" because school authorities were not
  15. consulted. Declared James Costen, president of the
  16. Interdenominational Theological Center: "As usual, we are being
  17. planned for rather than planned with."
